Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 April 2026
Mediro ICT (Pty) Ltd ("Mediro ICT", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it.
This policy applies to information collected through this website (mediro-ict.co.za) and through our recruitment service, Mediro IT Recruit. It is written to comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who we are
Mediro ICT (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for the personal information described in this policy. If you have questions about how we handle your information, you can reach us at info@mediro-ict.co.za.
What we collect and why
We only collect personal information where there is a clear purpose for doing so. The information we collect falls into three categories.
Information you provide directly
When you contact us through our website, send us an email, or submit your CV through Mediro IT Recruit, we collect the information you choose to share with us. This typically includes your name, email address, phone number, current employer, and — for recruitment — your CV and any supporting documents.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry, discuss potential engagements, or consider you for relevant roles. We do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.
Recruitment information
If you submit a CV or apply for a role through Mediro IT Recruit, we process the information in your application to assess suitability for current and future opportunities. We may share your CV with prospective employers where you have indicated interest in a specific role or have given us general consent to represent you in the market.
We retain CVs and recruitment records for a reasonable period to support ongoing placement work. You can ask us to remove your information at any time by emailing info@mediro-ict.co.za.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, which pages are most useful, where people enter and leave, and how the site performs technically. This involves cookies and the collection of standard analytics data including IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages visited.
This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you individually. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Cookies
We use cookies for two purposes: to make the website work, and to support Google Analytics as described above. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not share data with advertising platforms.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the site works.
How we share your information
We do not sell personal information to anyone. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — we use Google Analytics and standard email and hosting services to operate this website and our business. These providers process information on our behalf under appropriate data protection terms.
- Recruitment placements — where you have submitted a CV or applied for a role, we may share your information with prospective employers in line with our recruitment service. We will only do this with your consent.
- Legal obligations — where we are required to disclose information to comply with applicable law, regulation, or a valid legal request.
Where your information is held
Personal information you share with us is stored on systems and services located in South Africa and, in the case of certain service providers, internationally. Where information is transferred outside South Africa, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard required by POPIA.
How we keep your information secure
We maintain technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, and misuse. These include access controls, encryption in transit, and appropriate vendor selection. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this responsibility seriously.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of information that is inaccurate or out of date
- Request deletion of your information, subject to any legal retention requirements
- Object to certain processing of your information
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe we have not handled your information appropriately
To exercise any of these rights, please email info@mediro-ict.co.za. We will respond within a reasonable period, and within any timeframes required by law.
The Information Regulator can be contacted at inforeg@justice.gov.za or via justice.gov.za/inforeg.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated through the website.
